Merano Arte stand hosts Textile Artefacts a Frida Parmeggiani exhibition
The city of Meran hosts the exhibition Textile Artefacts on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Europe most famous theatre costume designer Frida Parmeggiani. She was born in Meran and has worked with theatre directors and artists such as Samuel Beckett, Andrè Heller, David Byrne and Tom Waits.
The exhibition, opened on the 16th of September 2016, has four sections. The first one is in Merano Arte stand where you can admire 13 sculptures made using fabrics freely and creatively. In fact, Frida did not have to adapt to scripts and actors. Therefore, she could fully express her creativity and make ‘ autobiographical’ sculptures.
The sections Approcci a Frida, How to become Frida and Working with Frida are hosted in the Palais Mamming Museum of Merano until the 20th of November 2016.
Duration of the exhibition: Merano Arte (via Portici 163) 17th September 2016 – 8th January 2017
Time: Merano Arte Tuesday – Sunday 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. (closed on Monday)
